The need to train – ABC RN “I was actually there” podcast

The ABC TV series I was actually there shared some powerful events in Australian history. The first episode featured the 1996 Port Arthur massacre. The podcast associated with this episode is by Craig Harwood, a sniper with Victoria Police who was actually there. It’s a 39 minute narrative of Craig’s role and some detail of the response not included on the TV show. Although what SAVEM does in response in no way approaches the same league, the description of the command structure and tactical response are relevant, and is a demonstration of the need to train together as a team.
